The Downton Experience was a microsite and experiential marketing proposal that was part of a strategy to create a more engaging and "fan-centric" experience for Downton Abbey viewers. Starting with a refresh of the Downton Abbey/Masterpiece WGBH website, it included stylish Downton-themed events and hundreds of "Big Sip" events staged all across America. For millions of fans it helped to make "the Downton experience" fabulously real.
