Concept for BLACK AMERICA SINCE MLK: AND STILL I RISE

Dr. Henry Louis Gates, Jr.'s critically acclaimed mini-series is about the social and political forces that shaped the last half-century for Black Americans. The goal here was to offer a vivid "family photo album style" glimpse of the incredible scope of the mini-series. And like the series, it's an "ode to resilience," that alternates between moments of triumph and devastating setbacks. A celebration of hope, joy... and the "arc of the moral universe."
